right it was super fun haha. totally loved the beach had a fantastic "fun" feel to the place and it was near langley air base, which houses F22s. AND AND. there was an aircraft carrier offshore. we saw F18s flying overhead. super super cool!
fishing was not so fun i guess, van and i din catch anything. dael caught 2, wangzhen caught 1 and XJ caught one. =) fun. all sea bass
right. okay back tracking to the caverns. SUPER SUPER long drive i guess for that distance, well at least it felt that way. sian really. caverns were disappointing cos it was super touristy and crappy. the tour was scripted and done by some kid on a summer job. by KID i mean REALLY kid. he looked 12!? sounded like a 9 year old
sunday, went to church, yes the cool black gospel type of church. okay not really but the singing was. and hymns NEVER, i reiterate. NEVER sounded soo good. from the congregation nevertheless. worked and had dinner up at ashland, 6miles north or south (i forgot) of KD, with my team the SHARKS!!! =) hahaha. the steak was sooooo good.. yupyup.
i guess that was the exciting week. its D.C. next week end =) so exciting.haha my summer, SO far, has been satisfying ( i think that word is just too mild) =)

its 8 am and im sitting in front of my com not knowing what to do. we're supposed to have left to collect the car from hertz to commence our journey to the shenendoah caverns, guess what? they ran out of cars, some customer before probably did not return the car and hence. 5 idiots are stuck here at VCU.

yup, last night an american brought us out for dinner, as in one of the co workers randomly brought us out for steak at TGI fridays'. emily and travis. cool. i guess in a way

anyway.. the weather is super nice. its like singapore weather on a cool day with WIND and with NO humidity! whooo. super super nice to work =)
TODAY, YES someone SHAT on the beach at tidal wave bay like SERIOUSLY alot alot of shit. and it REALLY looks like a chocolate cake.i duno how else to describe it. anyway, i ended up cleaning it up with like 5 other lifeguards AFTER we added some absorbent powder on it.. phew
okay what else. that's abt it i guess. still preping for the trip to the blue ridge mountains, i'll keep you guys updated

we had employee field day yesterday night and yeah it was good =) free burgers and hotdogs.. dinner was kinda settled, haha so singaporean. here are some photos.
been busy settling my travel plans with the people here. going to DC for the MLS game and the travel after work ends. suddenly i kinda dun want it to end? some times i do i guess, its still quite hard work. i dare say that it already has been a very satisfying summer. =)

today..
there was poop in the pool and tidal wave bay had to be evacuated so exciting, and yes.. it was a PIECE of shit, had to be scooped out by one of the guards (not me) =)
i rescued my 3rd person today. and got VATed (some life guard test thing) in the space of 5 mins after i did th rescue. SO EXCITING, even better than taking coasters.

and yes, they leave their rubbish strewn EVERYWHERE.

i had my 2nd rescue of the season today. so exciting! this time it was nothing much tho it was some kid that could not breath and clung on to some other person who brought him out the of water. i saw and jumped in.
there was also a snake at my ride today and and..a girl fainted cos of heat injury on the ride and caused it to close temporarily,but wait there's more! the emergency staff who ran up the steps also collapsed, due to an asthma attack . well done la so drama!
more things coming up, im gonna be going fishing and trekking in the blue ridge mountains sometime soon.
oh, we woke up early this morning we went to belle isle for a visit. it was SOOOO beautiful! sat on the rocks in the middle of the river... soo nice! can you imagine saying that u'll wanna take a day off to head down to the river (singapore river) for some alone time!?

I went shopping today at the outlet mall at williamsburg, its an hour's drive from richmond and yes. it was totally worth it!
i finally got my straw hat..erm it was from walmart tho.
i have so so so manythings to say and so little time. there's work tmr so yes i'll head off now. enjoy the pics.

crazy. TODAY was BY FAR the most eventful day of my time here.
1) IT HAILED! and i was caught in a storm
2) some one puked in the wave pool
3)the lifeguard chair was blown into the pool
4)there was a life guard audit
5) we closed early
so so exciting. xj and i got hit by a few hail stones.. cool! haha then the americans were all like sian and dreary cos the storm spoilt there, then then. we idiot singaporeans all so happy cos we saw hail for the 1st time in our lives!
hot cold hot cold, wet, dry, wet, dry. crazy. everyday is like that.like really, but but i feel like i have experience all that i have wanted to experience and am prepared to just head home now. but of cos there's more the come.
the best is yet to be!starting to really miss home food, everything here is starting to taste very bland, not spicy enough (yes this is coming from me). i guess every little bit of spice helps with the food. here its
