work is fun. i guess? its really hard work and liek not much rest in between, but talkig to the guests is really really fun.
oh yeah i realised somehting today, singaporeans LOVE to talk abt the weather back home. showing off how hot and humid out dumb little island is and how tough we all are in being able to take that crazy weather..
it seems like every conversation is about the weather here. raaah. hmm
speaking abt weather yes, it's like getting alot warmer. hot really scorching afternoons but once the sunsets the whole place cools damn super super super face. and yes, u guessed it.. it gets COLD.. like.. cold.. like.. 12-15 degrees cold(by my very inaccurate estimates)
did i ever mention that the toliet here at the dorm is SOOOO COLD!? but somehow we're all gotten used to it already. tough training from the freezing waters of KD. yes. the 2 weeks i have had were COLD.
every night, there will be sirens around the city and the occasional retards shouting at the top of their voices down stairs in the streets. the park facing our dorm is closed at night. and we're STRONGLY advised not to go in there, cos that's where all the homeless reside.
today was the 1st day of proper work. sai gang is the staple and operating the water rides is really really fun. dispatching the riders on the slide and lifeguarding at the wave pool. i tell you these AMS are wah lao..okay i think you get what i mean. will elaborate when i get the chance to.

hot sun and cold water don't mix.. yes.. more frigid water today.. but but, we got our lifeguard licenses which was a relief. yes work starts tmr. i guess sai kang starts tmr. and cold is like cold cold, im going to say this again COLD. i'll like never ever complain again if im going to swim in spore in the cold mornings, doubt they are ever as cold as the mornings/waters here.
planning for trips are really a pain in the ass. been trying to settle the D.C trip with the girls and planning what day to leave the east side. settleed on the 19th of july to fly to San Fran to begin our 2nd leg of the trip.

Ice cream waffles and applepieoh yes.. managed to cook beef and egg today IN THE MICROWAVE. sucked though,wish i could fry it. and yes,it has taken me 10-11 days to really start missing the convenience of home. not worrying abt what to cook and eat seems to be what i really miss. its not really the hassle of cooking but rather just thinking what to eat and how to make things exciting. cooking on the other hand is so much fun and yes exciting.
XJ even wants to buy flour and stuff to make NOODLES.. amazing right? haha.so fun finding out what wonders this microwave can do.

okay time to blog and need to blog finally i got my internet up and running here at richmond VCU dorms.yes. its rhoads hall. the city is quite nice.. everything is historical and museums and more museums. so yes.nothing really much to do here in that sense.
the photos are from our trip to the science museum which is like science centre just that it was quite kiddy. so 10 bucks was not really worth it i guess. on the flip side, since we're here have to see means have to see right? yes yes the trains are part of the museum. cos the building used to be an old railway station. very nice very big (for lack of better adjectives)
met up with geri the past few days went for a like not so nice pizza dinner which was relatively expensive and did grocery shopping. yes, so exciting right? bought a kettle ( i dunno how relevant this info is to you). hmm yes yes.. that's like.. the highlight so far of my past 3 days with out internet. sucks..
OH YES, we have a chinese buffet dinner, met the manager who was a singaporean also. he treated us to drinks(free flow somemore) and like talked to us and all. interesting. the food sucked. but there was rice! quite a sight seeing like 8 people crowding around a pot of rice and making sooo much noise abt it. yes RICE.. not only me la.. every one else also misses the food.. idiot bread and bread and bread.
hmm been training in FRIGID WATERS. like seriously i've never never felt soooo cold in my life. it was like 4pm in the afternoon in the hot, okay la not really hot sun, wind blowing and all. and we're all shivering in the pool sucks.. and this supposed to be summer.. yes frigid meaning. 15 degrees water. yes that cold.. insane right?
right. so far that's all i think im too tired. nights.
working at KD is like a continuous fun-o-rama yes. all of you know what i mean..did games today and uttered " come play!,3 balls for 5 dollars!...knock all the teeth out and win a prizE!" uhhh.. i was manning a usetheballandhittheteethoutofthesharksmouthgame.
met annette today. just so exciting meeting a fellow acsian overseas. probably going to the JM concert together with dael and her. fun. exciting.. at least it seems that way. what else..the dryer here at the hotel sucks.. not dry one the clothes.. yeah jsut did laundry today.

yes its the 1st day of work tmr. had training today, or rather a briefing and a tour of the park. will be doing games tmr like your games hosts at amusement parks. fun.
went shopping agian at VCC.. crossed a mother big road din die tho. and eh yah got a prepaid phone card. hmm what else. nothing just another long day tmr will be more exciting.. 1st day of work. right. oh and the park is mother mother big.

okay new pics are up. yesterday i forgot to mention how we were pangsehed alot. the bus that supposed to pick us up after walmart left early and so we were stranded in Ashland for liek a while. we were there at like 230. the next bus would have been at 7. which was crazy. so we decided to call a cab. and we had like milk and meat with us so we kinda really needed to get back to the hotel before the food turned bad.
christened the day "pang seh day" and the sandwich that we made : "pang seh sandwich" pics will be up soon they're with XJ and not with me. not uploaded yet. yes the cab was driven by a cool black lady. ala whoopie goldberg. super cool. cost us 23 bucks tips and all. interesting experience tho.
esther and the group of girls found a chinese buffet restaurant that serves CRAB! hmm run by a singaporean. cool la. and yes of cos they got a discount. we're so gonna go there someday soon when we have a car or something.
Ashland(go google it) is just down the road from doswell. pretty nearby 8 miles? yeah something like that.FYI, doswell is where im gonna be working and currently staying.
Had orientation today, hmm boring talks and all but the job seems quite interesting so yeah.. not too bad i guess. haha semi looking forward to it.and of cos the traveling.having training tmr morning at 9am. its a short walk to the park really so yeah not too bad, then going out for shopping again to get an ICC and a prepaid line over here so we can contact each other.

hmm okay day 2. that was eh yesterday. jetlagged and sticky we finally reached the hotel only to find that we were not allocated the same rooms. im like rooming with some china dude, alright i guess. nothing really must, just have to put up with this arrangement till the end of the week when we leave for the VCU dorms.
free day yesterday as well. just check in and get familiar with the place. "lunch" or dinner at dennys' that's like in the hotel premises. okay i just remember feeling really really tired and not willing to do much and alot of emails to reply. yes that's all

terminal at LAX.tired very tired. can just sleep anymoment i get to still have another 12 hours of travelling to do, quite taxing

watched 5 movies on the flights here.
right.somehow the clearing of customs have been very smooth. no trouble no problems which is great i guess. i had to board the 12 hour flight
(which turned out to be only 10 hrs) IMMEDIATLEY after disembarking in taipei, that flight was like 4 hours la.
had almost 9 hours in LA. we went out of the airport to check the town out. ended up at some fox hill mall in the selpeveda area of LA(i think)
yes very exciting. looked like idiots trying to find change to pay for our bus fares. 75c per person, quite an interesting experience
the locals.. angmohs and all looked at us like we're idiots. so far not impressed by the place but people are just very forthcoming
and friendly not too bad. have not really felt the racist vibe thing yet. probably cos LA is more cosmopolitian.
